SurePay, established in the Netherlands in 2016, is the pioneer behind Confirmation of Payee (CoP). This effective and GDPR proof solution gives payees greater assurance that their payments are going to the intended beneficiary, by checking the Account Number in combination with the name given at the Bank.
Presently, SurePay is connected to over 100+ Banks in the UK and Europe, and serves 500+ Organisations. This translates into 7 Billion checks performed and 100,000+ no match warnings issued daily, both domestically and across borders.
In 2023, we launched our CoP Portal, designed for PSPs. With this solution, we have won a Banking Tech Award in November. This achievement is a significant accolade, recognising our role as the innovators behind CoP!
Looking ahead, we are enthusiastic about helping more banks with implementing a Confirmation of Payee solution to ensure they meet the Payment Systems Regulator (PSR) deadline set for October 2024.
