Stuart leads the payments industry and regulatory relationships for Lloyds Banking Group.
He brings a variety of experience to the role from leadership positions in both customer and operational domains. He has been a relationship banker leading financial institutions relationships across the globe, particularly developing correspondent connections in Asia and the U.S. Subsequently, he has held senior positions in transaction banking in strategy, business development and product management.
Stuart is responsible for the creation of an annual transformation portfolio, driven by legal and regulatory change aligning this to the strategic goals of the business. He also chairs the organisation’s Payments Design Authority and is accountable for the bank’s payments regulatory compliance and assurance.
Stuart sits on Pay.UK’s, Participants’ Engagement Forum and UK Finance, Interbank Payments Policy Committee. With a particular interest enterprise and innovation, Stuart is a member of the International Advisory Board of the Newcastle University Business School, also supporting the university’s STARTUP programme for new student led businesses.
