As the Chief Financial Officer of lastminute.com group, Sergio has led several key functions since 2017, including Finance (Admin, Planning and Control, Treasury, Corporate Development), Procurement, Process Improvements, and Payments.
With a background as a chartered accountant and auditor, Sergio obtained his Economics degree from Università Sapienza in Rome (Italy) in 1988. Over the years, he has held significant positions such as Head of Planning and Control in diverse multinational environments spanning manufacturing, telecommunications, and gaming. Notable companies he has worked with include Omnitel Vodafone, Blu, and Lottomatica.
In his career journey, Sergio has also served as the CEO of CartaLis ELMI, a prominent player in the prepaid cards and gaming sector. Additionally, he took on the role of CEO at Lottomatica Videolot Rete.
Sergio is a former Angel Investor member of Italian Angels for Growth, an association that brings together Italian and foreign investors engaged in capital ventures within the startup landscape.
