Richard Theo is a serial entrepreneur currently focussed on his role as cofounder and CEO of Zero (zero.co.uk), a neo-bank on a mission to redefine banking for the generation that needs to put the planet first. Richard was also founder & CEO of ActiveQuote (activequote.com) the UK’s leading comparison & broker of health & protection insurance, with whom is currently non-executive director, and formerly founder & CEO of Wealthify (wealthify.com) a digital investment manager, bought by Aviva in 2020. Richard also founded & chaired FinTech Wales (fintechwales.org) the trade association for the FinTech & Financial Services industry in Wales. Richard’s background is in computer software with a degree and Ph.D. from Cardiff University.
