Paul Roe has been Head of Department for Payments Supervision at the FCA since July 2020, having previously spent nine years supervising large retail and wholesale banks. Prior to joining the regulator Paul worked for HM Treasury and was Head of the UK delegation in EU and OECD negotiations on export finance. Paul holds a BA Hons (1st Class) in History & Politics from Lancaster University and an MSc in Government from London School of Economics. As part of the former, Paul spent an exchange year at George Washington University (including an internship in the US Senate).
