Martin owns and runs one of the largest angel networks in the UK, called angelgroups. They are a tech based group and focus in on matching angels to businesses based on Sector, Technology and Skills (those required by the business). Sector agnostic, as long as the business can’t create harm and investing in mainly SEIS/EIS opportunities from £100k to £500k in a mixture of gender and ethnic backed founders
Whilst they don’t consider themselves as FinTech experts, a number of their c1,000 strong members are. In addition Martin sits on the Technical Committee for the UKBAA and focused his MBA on angel investment, with his dissertation on ‘the challenges of commercialising a early stage, high growth business’.
