Julia Demidova is a senior product and strategy leader in digital assets and payments, with over a decade of experience building regulated financial infrastructure at the intersection of banking, technology and policy. She is currently Head of International Digital Assets Product & Strategy at FIS, where she led the end-to-end strategy, architecture and launch of the Digital Regulated Money (DRM) platform, enabling banks and institutions to issue, transfer and settle stablecoins, tokenised deposits and other digital assets in a fully compliant environment.

At FIS, Julia has owned product vision, technical design and cross-functional delivery across ledger infrastructure, custody, programmable payments, compliance services and integration with core banking systems, payment rails and public blockchains. Her work spans CBDCs, stablecoins, tokenised deposits, crypto on/off-ramps and embedded finance, with a strong focus on operational resilience, governance and regulatory alignment under frameworks such as MiCA, GDPR and the Travel Rule. She works closely with global banks, PSPs, central banks and regulators on pilots, proofs of concept and production deployments across retail, wholesale and cross-border use cases.

Julia is an active contributor to industry and policy initiatives, contributing to working groups on privacy, identity. Previously, she was Commercial Director for Fintech and Private Markets at OMFIF, where she launched and led the Digital Monetary Institute, convening central banks, regulators and financial institutions globally on CBDCs, digital currencies and payment system innovation.

Earlier in her career, Julia held roles across investor relations, financial analysis and business development, giving her a strong commercial foundation alongside deep technical and regulatory expertise. She is a frequent speaker at international fintech and payments conferences and has been quoted in industry and financial media on digital currencies, stablecoins and the future of money
