As CEO for Africa John leads the commercial and network expansion across the African continent for Crown Agents Bank (CAB), a specialist UK regulated Bank with a focus on moving investment and development capital into emerging markets. He has built and developed strong relationships with African-based clients and regulators, together with an extensive knowledge of the cross-border transaction flows that benefit these markets.
Prior to CAB he spent 18 years at HSBC in senior leadership roles covering Investment Banking, Global Markets, Commercial Banking, Asset Management, and Private Banking. John worked for Deutsche Bank and at JP Morgan earlier in his career.
He is a New York state registered attorney and counsellor at law with a master’s degree in international economic law from Warwick University in the UK.
