Jasmeet (Jas) Narang is currently Chief Data, AI & Controls and Transformation Officer at
Santander UK. He has over 28 years’ experience in global financial services. He is a
qualified Six Sigma ‘Master Black Belt’ and has held roles leading large operational teams,
managing retail banking commercial portfolios as a P&L leader and leading large scale
transformation functions. Jas worked for GE Capital for over 13 years in various roles
spanning four different countries prior to joining Santander UK in 2009.
As part of this new broader role, Jas and team are responsible for and working with teams
across Santander UK & Group to build core capabilities including Customer Interactions,
Digital, Process Re-engineering, Data & AI, Controls, Agile Way of Working & People/
Organisation levers to help set the foundations for the bank to grow in the future whilst
maximising productivity. He also manages the financial crime and non-financial risk and
controls activities for the bank and acts as the central owner for both Regulatory and Group
responsibilities.
He also serves as member of the MBA Advisory Board at Bradford University’s School of
Management.
Jas has been married for 24 years and has two boys, aged 22 and 19 and lives in Leeds in
sunny Yorkshire. He loves to read, and travel exploring new places in the world and
absolutely loves his cricket!
