Head of Policy and Executive Committee Member
PSR (Payment Systems Regulator)

Genevieve Marjoribanks is the Head of Policy and Executive Committee member at the Payment Systems Regulator (PSR).  Her role is to lead the UK’s policy development on competition and innovation in the payments sector in the interests of everyone who makes payments. Genevieve also works with her ExCo colleagues to ensure the PSR is a great place to work. Prior to this, she worked at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) as a Head of Policy for the FCA, where she was responsible for financial stability, climate change risks in the financial sector, and prudential policy. In 2019 Genevieve was seconded to the Competition and Markets Authority to lead their Digital Markets Strategy work.

Genevieve is experienced in financial policy and regulation: having started her career as a lawyer with an LL.M. from SOAS, she then worked for Australia’s Commonwealth Treasury, including time spent in Parliament House advising the Federal Government, as a Director at the Australian Taxation Office, and as strategic policy manager at the Australian Securities and Investments Commission.
