A visionary leader in sustainable digital transformation, Eric Zie brings over 30 years of experience in technology and innovation. As Vice Chair of TechUK’s Climate Council and a partner to the United Nations ITU, Eric is shaping the future of sustainable ICT. A two-time Earthshot Prize nominee and Google Brain Award winner, he has authored pivotal works like his Decarbonise Digital guidebooks and the Digital Payments Carbon Emissions Measurement Framework for The Payments Association.

Eric serves as an independent advisor at Charsfield Research and Advisory, where he focuses on research and leadership advisory for sustainable IT and digital transformation. His academic contributions include roles as Visiting Professor at King’s College London, the University of East Anglia, and the University of Suffolk.

As the founder of GoCodeGreen and the GCG Learning Academy—both certified B-Corps and Gartner Cool Vendors—he has driven groundbreaking advancements in IT environmental measurement and reporting. Recognised as a World Green Technology Leader and a Fellow of the British Computer Society, Eric continues to pioneer sustainable innovation, helping organisations align digital transformation with environmental responsibility.
