One of the UK’s leading authorities on international trade and globalisation, David Henig is Director of the UK Trade Policy Project at the think-tank European Centre for International Political Economy (ECIPE). In this work he analyses UK trade policy and Brexit in the context of the changing EU and global trade environment while also considering what may come next. He writes about these topics frequently including in a regular column for the specialist trade news service Borderlex, and discusses findings with the media, politicians, and senior officials. David serves as Expert Adviser to the UK Trade and Business Commission, and formerly worked with a Parliamentary committee in a similar role. He previously worked on these subjects for the UK Government. having started his career in consultancy after graduating from Oxford University.
