Technology Platform Director – Payment Services Platform
Danielle Anthony is the Technology Platform Director for the Payment Services Platform. In this role, she leads the Payments Service Platform through significant cultural transformation, ensuring that customers, clients, and colleagues can rely on stable, secure, and safe payments services across both domestic and international landscapes. Danielle is accountable for maintaining service across 170 applications, with a strong focus on product centricity to deliver technology changes aligned with value-driven prioritization. This involves managing a wide range of initiatives with an annual budget exceeding £100 million. In addition to these responsibilities, she is dedicated to embedding group-wide cultural, business, and technical transformation strategies across the Payments ecosystem. This includes driving innovation, simplifying payments architecture, maintaining resilience, and reducing technical debt. Danielle’s leadership is instrumental in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence within the Payments Services Platform.
Over the last twenty years, Danielle has held several technology leadership roles, including technical specialist, systems analyst, system integration manager, head of programme delivery, and software engineering lead. Many of these roles have involved significant engineering achievements for the Group, such as Lloyds, Halifax and Bank of Scotland Integration, TSB Divestment, Contactless Cards launch, Image Clearing System, Confirmation of Payee, and a greenfield build of a new faster payments platform. Danielle lives on the Fife coast and enjoys photography, spending time with her daughter, and taking long coastal walks with the family dog, Hamish, in their spare time.
