Nicolas Weng Kan is Chief Executive Officer at Yolt Group, overseeing the strategic direction of Yolt Technology Services, the leading open banking provider in Europe.
He has three decades of experience working with companies from start-ups to global brands in financial services, holding senior positions across the UK, Taiwan, Japan and China. He is the former CEO of Google Compare where he launched the Google Comparison services for auto insurance, credit cards and mortgages in the US, and Confused.com where he drove innovation such as the ability to give an auto insurance quote in a few seconds. Prior to this, he was head of operations for UK insurer, Admiral.
Nicolas joined Yolt Group in 2020 with an ambition to transform lives by using open banking as a force for good. He is passionate about using the power of data to radically change how the market evolves in the financial services sector, helping to put financial control, choice and freedom into the hands of people and businesses to unlock their financial potential.
Nicolas was born in Madagascar and went to study engineering in France before starting his career for French engineering group Staubli in Japan. He also has an MBA from Insead and speaks seven languages.
